What is a Notary Public in Cambodia?

A Notary Public is a qualified legal expert appointed by the Sub-Decree of the Royal Government of the Kingdom of Cambodia.

Notaries Public carry out the missions and operate within the law and regulations of the Kingdom of Cambodia. They are authorized to conduct general legal practice (except any involvement in disputes before a court) and are primarily concerned with preparation and authentication of legal acts (such as contracts, wills, powers of attorney etc.), and certification of signatures, true copy of documents and translation of documents from Khmer to foreign languages and vice-versa.

N & P Notary Public of the Kingdom of Cambodia (N & P) was established by the Royal Government of Cambodia’s Sub-Decree No.172 dated 16 October 2020.

N & P was founded in a vision to build a notary office that delivers good quality legal and notarial services at affordable fees. Our services range from preparation and authentication of legal documents (including wills, contracts, powers of attorneys, affidavits, company resolutions etc.), certification of signatures, true copy of documents, and faithful translation of documents from Khmer to foreign languages and vice-versa, provision of legal advice and opinion on family and inheritance, property and security, tax, banking, corporate and commercial law, to company incorporation and business licensing.
