What is a Notary Public in Cambodia?
A Notary Public is a qualified legal expert appointed by the Sub-Decree of the Royal Government of the Kingdom of Cambodia.
Notaries Public carry out the missions and operate within the law and regulations of the Kingdom of Cambodia. They are authorized to conduct general legal practice (except any involvement in disputes before a court) and are primarily concerned with preparation and authentication of legal acts (such as contracts, wills, powers of attorney etc.), and certification of signatures, true copy of documents and translation of documents from Khmer to foreign languages and vice-versa.
